This project started from an idea about de-stigmatizing social media use; however, it has evolved into a much more complex idea. I'm Wynn Wong, in grade 9 at Sir Charles Tupper Secondary. This project is for the 2026 science fair season, and it started because I had a lot of fun, inspiration, and learning from a science fair study done last year on the effects of scrolling and short-term memory. This year, I'm doubling down to make my biggest ambitions of a project yet come true. In short, Big Social Media vs. Well-Being was created to find the correlations between use of big social media platforms and eudaimonic well-being. This site has the key information, results, history, and real-time progress of the project. Please enjoy the amazing things science can do!
